The part most engineers don't know
After CEng: guidance towards Ir. or Eur Ing, at no extra charge.
Most Malaysian engineers treat Chartered Engineer as an international extra. It can also count at home, through BEM's Route B, if you meet BEM's conditions.
01
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
Through a UK licensed institution, on your existing experience. One Professional Development Report, one Professional Review Interview. This is the programme.
02
Professional Engineer, PEng (Ir.), via BEM Route B
BEM's Route B is for Graduate Engineers who hold a professional qualification the Board considers equivalent. It is assessed on the Code of Professional Conduct (Registration of Engineers Act 1967, the 1990 Regulations, BEM circulars and common law).
The condition we check with you: To sit it, you must be registered with BEM as a Graduate Engineer with three years' practical experience. BEM decides equivalence; we check your eligibility with you before you pay. If it does not clear, the Ir. half does not happen, and we tell you at the first conversation.

He has sat on the other side of the standard
Former Group General Manager of Kulim Hi-Tech Park, the Kedah state-owned corporation behind Malaysia's first high-technology industrial park. He has hired, promoted and been accountable for engineers at scale.
Every file is read by him, not a coordinator
Three review gates (your professional template, your institution report and your interview papers) are marked by hand before anything is submitted.
What you are actually buying
Not a course. You already have the engineering. What this closes is the gap between what you have done and how a professional review panel needs to read it.
Choosing the right institution
Many institutions are licensed to award CEng. Picking the one that fits your evidence is decision zero.
Writing the competence file
Your career, translated into the assessor's language and set against the standard, with templates, tools and a worked structure.
Surviving the interview
We build your interview slides with you, then run a full mock interview.
We submit to the UK for you
You fill the professional template section by section. We finalise the report and lodge the application with the institution.

Why competent engineers get refused
Panels rarely fail engineers on knowledge. They fail them on the evidence of leadership and judgement nobody wrote down.

Capable
The half that fails people
Finding these in your career and setting them down properly is the work.
